I once had about 90 of these models and I also have a pretty complete list of those made during WW2. From what I can see in the listings, the only plane that fits the "mystery" one depicted in the first picture is a B-24 with a very long nose.

Could that mystery plane be a plaster XB-32?
Never seen an example of one, but it does look like early drawings of the acft before the design was finalized in 1942. They started designing the acft in 1940 and completed the first prototype in 1942.

WOW, I think you nailed it! Thanks very much! I believe there was a plaster model made of the B-32, although all I've ever seen of one is some pieces. The model pictured might have been made locally out of wood, too. Anyway, thanks for enlightening me!
